11-15-07 - Shezacashinin and A Fast Man's Dream to race at ZIA Park in 2007/2008 - 2 of Heza Hero's fillies are in race training at Lubbock Downs in Lubbock, Texas. Shezacashinin AQHA 4696627 , 2 YO filly out of Skysmasher AQHA# 3551359 (by One Slick One) recently reported a work-out at ZIA Park race track in Hobbs, NM. A Fast Man's Dream AQHA #4768759 by Yeah Angie AQHA 3464581 (by Shoot Yeah) owned by Kenneth Smith of Lubbock, Texas is also in training and due to run in 2007 or 2008. Incidentally, Skysmasher is currently in-foal to another Heza Hero foal at the TCO Ranch.

10/01/07 - Cash Packin Jet AKA "Petie," 2 YO by Heza Hero Proving to be a Quick Learner and very quick to mature. From the time he was born, Petie never had to be taught a thing; all we had to do was show him what to do and sometimes, we didn't even have to show him, he just did it on his own. For example, we never had to teach him how to load in the trailer. One day, he just saw one of us walk into it and he just followed us. From that point on, if any trailer door was left open, he was going in to check it out. This applied to tack rooms, wash racks, and the hay trailer as well. At 2 years and 6 months of age, "Petie" was started by Pat Crawford. After 30 days, he was given to Ragenia Booth in Terrell, Texas. Within 3 weeks, Petie was loping the pattern. Once again, all that had to be done was show him the way. Petie didn't spook much to anything and was mentally maturing very quickly. Within 60 days of starting him, he was already getting bored, so he was being hauled to local jackpots to be exhibitioned in loud crowded arenas. With the exception of a couple little spooks here and there which was to be expected, Petie was further along than most 3 and 4 year olds with as much or more training. Seeing that Petie was going to be a quick learner and very quick to mature, we decided to give him a 30 day on / 30 day off training regimen to avoid boring him and to keep him interested. Seeing that he was maturing faster mentally than physically, it was smart not to rush him. Petie had a full brother born at the TCO ranch in Feb of 2007.
